Syosset A.C.T is home to actors, techies, makeup artists, and other special positions within the thespian world. Syosset A.C.T is the theatre club led by our advisor, Gene Connor. In this club, we put on 3 main stage productions along with smaller shows in the Little Theatre each year. This year we chose to present "I Never Saw Another Butterfly" for our fall drama. You can read more about the process and the reason behind our selection of this show in "Making of Our Production." For every show we present, we pick a charity to donate a portion of our proceeds to, in order to raise awareness about various charities' missions and to expand our reach from our stage into our community. We also raise money with various activities and events throughout the year within our club. This club has been a creative outlet and a safe, loving community to many who have felt like an outsider at various points throughout their lives. Our community has a tight bond and we try to make everyone feel welcomed and accepted for who they are. Being a member of A.C.T isn't just showing up and performing in a show a few times a year. It's being part of a family that develops strong bonds during the years spent in high school, that continues on into each member's adult life. ACT members know that they always have a support system of alumni and current ACT members, who will always be there for you.
