In the past few months we all have borne witness to anti-Semitism and other discriminations and hate crimes, in our local, national, and global communities.  In reaction to these truly criminal, unjust actions, we (the Association of Creative Thespians) have elected to bring attention to the hate crimes and genocides of our history that continue to effect our lives today.

The Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County works tirelessly to educate the generations of people who were born after the Holocaust, and to remember the millions who perished during this genocide.  As a part of our ongoing community service efforts, we will be donating a large portion of the proceeds from tickets sold for I Never Saw Another Butterfly, in addition to any and all greatly appreciated donations, to the HMTC.  We hope to be able to pay for multiple memorial butterflies to be added to the Children's Memorial Garden at the center.  These butterflies adorn the walls of the garden and memorialize the 1.5 million Jewish children who perished in the Holocaust, as well as all the other children who passed during World War II.

This deeply personal tragedy must be revisited and remembered throughout every life.  The events of the Holocaust must not be permitted to recur.  Standing up to hate, violence, and discrimination and educating the future generations about the past is the only way to prevent another Holocaust.
