THE PROJECT
The reasons we chose the play I Never Saw Another Butterfly was to bring awareness to the atrocities of the Holocaust. We feel the need to show the world that the events that this show was based on, cannot be allowed to happen again.
This show is very meaningful to our cast and crew. The unprecedented hateful, derogatory and anti-Semitic words, phrases, and symbols that were painted on walls and windows of our school this past August, left many members of our community feeling attacked, personally offended, and insecure.
The idea of sharing the stories of the children of the Holocaust is our way of bringing awareness to the lasting reminders of the devastating, horrible events of our past that continue to be prevalent in our society today.
